“Epic” would be the word I use to describe Erin and Shady’s wedding found within the pristine El Capitan State Beach. When I heard their wedding was taking place at my favorite beach in Southern California I was very happy.
The morning greeted us with some ominous thunderheads perched over the Los Padres National Forest. Erin and Shady were incredibly optimistic about the weather with no “plan B” in case of rain. Even with her birthday the day prior Erin was ready about thirty minutes early, so we had some time to hang out and talk a little. They were both full of life and love which was contagious to everyone around them
The ceremony was gorgeous. Rustic colors, blue skies dappled with thunderheads and little wispy clouds painted the set for a sacred marriage. The service had it all: poetry and scripture reading, an amazing message, laying on of hands in prayer, communion, and holy kisses to mention a few. Most importantly there was an incredible sense of the deep love between Erin and Shady throughout the day as they stole glances at each other constantly.
The evening ended with storybook sunset and dancing into the night with a full moon rising in the east.
